did I forget to change my mind I wasted time and fell behind the sky was darker than the sea the sky was darker than the sea stepped in early and out asap but I could not locate the map and I forgot to change my mind and I forgot to change my mind if you want to make it a better day without clouds up there thinking your way would be the only way sit in the sun for all I care who’s the one who said it would be a joke funny or insane if you only needed a motor boat to fly right into the rain did I forget to change my mind I wasted time and fell behind the sky was darker than the sea the sky was darker than the sea stepped in early and out asap but I could not locate the map and I forgot to change my mind and I forgot to change my mind if you want to make it a better day start it the night before thinking your way would be the only way all my fears slip out the door

Shredder 04:15
it’s a brand new end to the same old trend we can’t hide it and it shows everybody knows so you wrote novels and they felt awful but why on earth would I need more than I could read should it hurt better burning your letters and I’ll probably regret it at least a little bit now I might spend some time alone with the company shredder overnight going to spend some time alone with the company shredder over you tissues on the floor then you cried some more of course we share the heartache despite the smiles we fake no one sticks around going out of bounds it’s always been my downfall writings on the wall that’s no paperwork for an office clerk the day you found your own place you left and left a trace out of sight spend some time alone with the company shredder overnight going to spend some time alone with the company shredder over you walk or bike, trash or keep it’s not like I was gonna sleep I’m all packed, carrying on my back bulky bookshelves we kept to ourselves out of sight spend some time alone with the company shredder overnight going to spend some time alone with the company shredder over you

about

In early September 2018, shortly after we began the songwriting of the False Memory EP, David was in a scooter accident that left him with a concussion, injuries to his right hand and left knee, and no recollection of it happening. That’s actually his damaged helmet on the cover. The guitar had to be left alone and the computer screen turned off. Shredder was the closest thing we had to a finished song so we put it out as a demo/single on October 25th. The rest of the ep was written as David was on the way to recovery. The album is complete with a reworked version of a track from belongings, And I Forgot, retitled And I Forgot Again.

about

a fawn at dawn Québec

"Some songs just hit home; you can’t put it into words, you can’t really explain it (though I’ll try, poorly), but you love them. The moment I pressed play on the latest A Fawn at Dawn track from their False Memory EP I was hooked."
